Although he's known primarily as an award winning Country music songwriter penning the hits for top classic stars including Ray Price ("Sweetheart of the Year"), George Jones & Tammy Wynette ("Even the Bad Times Are Good"), Glen Campbell ("Old Memories Never Die") and countless others including Jerry Lee Lewis, Buck Owens, Skeeter Davis and Delaney & Bonnie, Clyde Pitts made great rockabilly records as an artist in his own right - singing and playing guitar with wild abandon on a handful of 45 's that are now extremely hard to find and highly sought after by collectors and connoisseurs alike.
