Lullaby of Birdland

This complete 1991 concert was filmed in 1991 at the Pual Masson Winery. Shearing's piano artistry is captured forever as he and bass sensation Neil Swanson caress the balads of Rodgers & Hart and Hoagy Carmicheal, and swing to the bebop of Charlie Park and perform Shearing's original theme song for the famous night club Lullaby of Birdland; a composition that has become a standard of the Jazz repertoire and ensured the lasting legacy of the Grammy Award winning pianist extraordinaire.
