Saxophonist Keith Oxman's "Caught Between the Lion and the Twins" is his seventh release for Capri and is a collection of original compositions by Keith and his pianist for this date, Marc Sabatella. Also included is one standard, the Sammy Cahn/Julie Styne classic, Saturday Night is the Loneliest Night of the Week. Keith' tenor sax is showcased this time in a quartet setting with the exception of one track that is a dialog between sax and drums. Keith's sound has been compared to that of Dexter Gordon, John Coltrane and Sonny Rollins.
