A modern Christmas big band classic with sleigh bells, a foot tapping beat and fun lyrics - "On Christmas morning all I want is you, you're the only 'stocking filler' that will do, Other boys can have my toys but I will not feel blue, If I wake up Christmas morning girl with you!" The male vocal version lyrics for Stocking Filler (For Her) was written in December 1994 by Ian Macdonald for a girl in his study class and slipped into her bag before Christmas break. Sadly the girl in question thought he was a complete weirdo and it took until spring break before they became friends! It took almost another 10 years before Ian brought together The Adder Band ("Old Macdonald had a band...") to record it. In 2007 most of The Adder Band were brought back to do a sexy female vocal version - Stocking Filler (For Him)and now both versions are available together. The Adder Band comprises some of the UK's most talented session musicians: Stocking Filler for Her: Simon Bates (saxes), Paul 'Harry' Harris (piano), Mike Bradley (drums), Graham Russell (trumpet), Simon Thorpe (bass), Pat Hartley (trombone), Mark Johns (guitar), Dave Laudat (vocals).
