'61 South's' members are veterans of the PA/NJ/NY music scene having opened for many major and national acts over their 50 plus years of collective musical experience. The unique sound of the steel guitar in a blues/rock format is what sets this band apart from other blues/rock bands. This is not your father's twangy, country steel guitar. Far from it. Think Duane Allman or Robert Randolph playing in a 3 piece blues/rock format. Playing blues in a classic rock style reminiscent of Z.Z.
