Long Time Coming
Long Time Coming is the fourth full-length album that Zeb Cruikshank has recorded, yet it is his first instrumental fusion album. Long Time Coming features 10 of Zeb's original compositions, written between 1998 and 2011, hence the title of the album. Long Time Coming has been a work in progress for quite some time. The tracks cover a variety of genres, each a reflection of Zeb's compositional style and influences. Elements of jazz, blues, funk, rock, and Latin music are fused together to create a rich tapestry of recorded material. Also featured on Long Time Coming are fellow McNally Smith College of Music graduates Dan Musselman (keyboards), Brent Wallace (bass), and Zach Schmidt (drums). This group of musicians have been performing together for many years. The familiarity gained between the group allows for plenty of musical interplay throughout the tracks and injects the energy of a vibrant live performance into this stellar studio recording.
