Yaniv Shchori is a string instrument virtuoso, specializing in guitars, oud, cherengo and mandolin. His art spans the spectrum of performance, composition and production . Yaniv Shchori's first album "Instrumental Mood" was released in 2005, to great critical acclaim and frequent radio playings by leading Israeli music personalities . "Instrumental Mood" presents a kaleidoscope of musical styles and cultures, and a unique melding of eastern and western traditional instruments. "Instrumental Mood" is soon to be followed by Yaniv Shchori's second album. Yaniv Schori creates and plays using fingerstyle, a specialized technique of playing acoustic guitar. Fingerstyle is a fascinating guitar technique, simultaneously combining the bass, harmonic accompaniment, melody, and percussion. Fingerstyle was developed in the late 1800s by African slaves in the United States. The technique gradually spread and gained complexity, and received it's current flavor from several leading musicians including Andy McKee, Tommy Emmanuel, Jerry Reed and Chet Atkins.
