The self titled album 'Yakuzi Pato' was a big project for a small band. Recordings started early 2009 at bass player Juha Nikkanen's home studio. But as lazy and shiftless as we are we mostly drank coffee, smoked cigarettes and fried fish sticks on wooden stove. In summer 2010 we decided to try recording again. This time we asked sound engineer Pete Hakola to join as producer. The process kicked off with a 6-day recording session (24/7) in November 2010 and after that Pete and guitarist Lauri Levanto started to mix the album. During the creative period we were pleased to hear that Taimi Records would like to release our album as their first release! Nice. During spring 2011 some additional parts were recorded, thus bringing the release date closer than ever. In summer 2011 we introduced a graphic designer to create a nice new look for the band and discovered an analogue acquainted mastering engineer to make the album sound as smooth and groovy as we hoped. In the final stage the brave guys of Taimi Records battled with all the bureaucracy, enabling Yakuzi Pato to finally - after five years - release their debut album.
