Sounds Like a Blast
"Sounds Like A Blast" is The Workout's first full-length studio album. Each song on the album is very different and unique to the band, having been written over the course of two to three years. Some songs are newer and are more indicative as to the direction of which the band's music is heading, but the earlier songs are still just as important; as they are a constant reminder to the band of it's musical roots and marks of growth over a short period of time. The meanings found in the lyrics are fun to some and misunderstood to others. Whether a song seems to be about werewolves, aliens, atomic fallout in America circa 1950, or Vikings, the words allow one to find deeper and more everyday-true life interpretations within them. Priding on not being able to be cornered into one genre, a dry and flat label, the value of the lyrics exists in a similar fashion; as not being able to be pinned down to one right or wrong. This album is what you want it to be. It is in itself the definition of the band. It means everything to us, and we hope that it will have meaning to you as a listener. -The Workout.
