The Women's Chorus of Dallas is recognized as one of the nation's finest women's choruses. The Chorus has ten CD recordings to it's credit and has performed throughout North America in such cities as Montreal, New York, San Jose, Denver, Tampa, and Minneapolis. Landmark events include a command performance before Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and three appearances in Carnegie Hall. The Chorus performs to raise awareness of many important causes, including AIDS awareness, domestic violence prevention, and breast cancer research. In it's twenty years of existence, TWCD has raised tens of thousands of dollars for worthy organizations. Under the leadership of Artistic Director, Melinda Imthurn, the chorus performs three season concerts and at numerous community outreach events each year in order to uphold it's mission. The mission of The Women's Chorus of Dallas is to promote the strength, diversity and joy of women by performing high quality choral music to entertain, inspire and serve the community.
