About Demos/ons: Simply put, each song on Demos/ons tells a story about demons. Those terrible little thoughts that make us feel inadequate, jealous, angry, greedy, lonely, afraid, ect... Although the stories tend be about extreme cases of these emotions, I believe that they are feelings that are common to us all, emotions that most of us deal with regularly. Some of the stories end sadly, some of them happily, and that brings me to the next thing that I want to say about Demos/ons. It is not supposed to be a dark and pessimistic take on things, it is supposed to be a reminder, even a glint of optimism, that we have two choices when it comes to our everyday demons: 1) We can lay down, submit to those feelings and become that depressed, ugly version of ourselves, or 2) We can let go of those feelings, try our best to rid ourselves of the things that make us feel that way and become better, stronger, more beautiful versions of ourselves. The choice is ours to make, and although it is not always easy, the choice seems obvious to me. So here's to having the strength to let go and be better off for it, here's to optimism!
