Our new album, Widetrack II, has just been released. This collection of songs was written over the course of spring 2007 to winter 2008. Having the benefit of two-and-a-half years between the debut and this one, the music (hopefully) shows a significant step forward. The point of all this for us is to continue learning and growing as a band. Ideally speaking, music can be one of the purest forms of communication... a level where people can truly connect. It has the power to heal, transport, affirm. It can provide a voice for the voiceless. It can be a gateway 'drug' to our higher consciousness, if we so desire it to be. In this light, we feel that, as a band, we have an infinitely long way to go. There is greatness all around, and to feel 'special' seems a laughable prospect. The true innovators have set the bar to a height we can only dream of reaching, given a thousand years to do so; their immeasurable influence on us notwithstanding. But we enjoy making music. There is nothing like the feeling of jamming out an idea and being moved by something you've stumbled on to. Just as there is nothing like the feeling of having that idea become an actual song - especially after many, many hours spent to render it so. And there is nothing like the feeling of hearing a song you've written, worked hard on, feel hopeful for, played through the speakers of the recording studio where it's just been mixed. And to be told by another that he/she is moved by the song as well... We humbly offer our second album to you with warm regards. Ron Tippin.
