This Is the Captain
Well Said formed in the summer of 2007, when five guys who love music decided to bring their music out of the basement and share it with the world. Zack, Billy, Aaron, Josh and Dan had all been playing music for years, occasionally with each other, but had never really gotten the opportunity to make the music they really wanted to. They decided to join forces and make the music they always wanted to hear, and to use their gifts to serve Christ. Each band member brought something different to the table, and in combining those unique experiences created a sound not heard in many worship bands; a unique fusion of worship, rock, pop, electronic music and folk. They started out playing at their church, but quickly used their connections to start playing at worship services throughout the region. In the spring of 2008 they released their first CD, The Greenhouse EP. Later that summer, they got their dream job, leading worship for FUGE Camps in Mobile, Alabama. They played every day for hundreds of students each week, growing as a band in the process. They are ready to take their music to the next level as they plan to release their full-length debut album in the spring and return to FUGE this summer. However, no matter how successful they may or may not become, Well Said believes it all means nothing if they aren't doing it out of love for God and a desire to serve Him. Being Well Said means that words are useless if not backed up by actions, and that if not done with love, all we do is useless. Living out the love of Christ; that is Well Said. This is the Captain is the latest release by Well Said and provides insight into their thoughts on life, love, and other mysteries.
