Way to the Lord!
Viren is a worship leader from the beautiful Pacific Northwest in Washington state. Teaching music at an elementary school and leading worship was already a full plate, but he felt like he needed to do more. He signed up to attend the Christian Musician Summit to find out if he should take music seriously or if it should remain a hobby. One month before the event he had a dream. He saw a band on stage singing the song "Open the Eyes of My Heart." The odd thing about the dream was that it was being sung in many different languages. One month later at the Summit, he saw Paul Balouche invite members of the audience from other countries to join him on stage. They sang "Open the Eyes of My Heart" in each of their native languages just as Viren had dreamed it one month prior. This was the confirmation that Viren needed to take music seriously. The following year Viren returned to the Summit. In what can only be described as a God moment, he heard God tell him to write a song for his daughter who had died many years earlier. At first he shouted out "NO!! Please, anything but that!" He knew that anytime he would sing the song he would relive her death like it happened yesterday. But God wasn't finished. He also told him to minister to those families who have also lost a child. With a heavy heart Viren wrote the song 3 days later and went on to serve as a group facilitator for a support group specializing in families experiencing grief due to the loss of a family member. Two of the songs from his album "The Way to the Lord!" are about the loss of his daughter.
