Through the Fields
In the bright budding season of spring aught-nine, four friends teamed up to simply make some smart pop music. Melding influences from the big-label musical heroes of their youth and the many northwest indie-rockers of today, the music of Vantage attempts to walk the line of raw rock and pop with Polish. In the midst of their first west-coast tour the four noticed people looking up from their drinks and begin to smile, move, dance, and listen. In January of 2010, Vantage headed into the studio to record their debut full length self-released album. Produced by Jackson Long (BOAT, Racetrack) at the up-and-coming independent recording studio, Two Sticks Audio (owned by Jason McGerr of Death Cab for Cutie), the final product is a beautiful sounding record; twelve songs that start fresh and poppy and slowly transition to a decidedly darker mood by the final and title track, "Through the Fields." Over the next year, the band intends to tour regionally and produce a follow-up recording of all new material. They thank you for giving them a listen.
