FABRIZIO RAGAZZI He is currently part of the Orchestra Sinfonica di Sanremo as First Viola. He graduated in Violin at the Conservatory of Florence and Viola at the Conservatory of Bologna, and has a master degree in Viola and Chamber Music from the Conservatory of Cuneo, as well as a diploma in Piano Quartet from the International Music School of Florence. He studied at the Academy 'W. Stauffer' of Cremona, at the 'Tchaikovsky' Conservatory in Moscow, and participated in the masterclasses of Ortonville, Camogli, and S. Pellegrino Terme, studying with Maestros Giuranna B., F. Merlini, G. Ballini, F. Rossi, NP Masi, F. Zadra, I. Grace, I. Sterliscaia. Intellectually versatile, has been involved in many areas of both classical and pop music, leading him to important experiences such as: a long collaboration with the 'Nuovo Quartetto Artis' and the 'Hyperion' Ensemble; a wide conductor-soloist career; the establishment of an ethnic music group 'Tziganarion', with which he published two CDs. He has also collaborated with several Italian orchestras as a soloist, including the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano, the Bellini Theatre of Catania, the Orchestra of Santa Cecilia in Rome, the Toscanini Orchestra of Parma, the Carlo Felice Theatre of Genoa, ... Equally important is his teaching experience, including that related to the conservatory, as well as a Viola Professor position he held at the 'Academia National de Orquestra de Lisboa' (Portugal). In Italy he works in both public and private schools as a violin teacher, where he is able to implement and verify some innovative teaching methodologies. He also finds interest and time to devote to the manufacturing of violins, violas and cellos.
