Taught Me Love
This album has a couple themes that run throughout. The call to live a life of worship to the Lord, and how that is only possible by us decreasing and Him increasing in our lives. The first half of the album are rock/poprock songs that tell stories and/or remind us of God's faithfulness in our lives. Then the album begins to transition into worship with the re-arranged and updated 'Rock of Ages, Cleft for Me.' into the southern worship rock original 'Bless The Lord.' 'Gospel Hymn' is a nod to the classics with a simple fingerstyle acoustic guitar arrangement that briefly tells the Gospel story. 'Still On The Throne' is taken from Psalm 3 a Psalm believed to be written when King David was fleeing Jerusalem from his son Absalom's usurping the throne. King David poured out his heart to the Lord in this Psalm recognizing that God was still in control even though all of life's circumstances said otherwise. The chorus is a simple reminder that no matter what happens in our lives our God is still on the throne, and He can be trusted always. 'I Know Not Words', 'All To You' and 'To You My King' are songs that speak of God's greatness to which we could not find the words to express this truth. Our response to this truth should be to give all of our lives to the Lord because He is so worthy of our praise. The album closes with acoustic tracks that are very dear to the author, and the instrumental fingerstyle arrangement of 'Amazing Grace' to close it all off. I hope you enjoy it!!
