Songs of Hope
Travis Dewayne Jackson was born and raised in Fordyce Arkansas. Like every success story, he gained and continued his singing ability in the church. He's been on the road playing and singing traditional Gospel Quartet music since his teen years. God had a plan for his life from the start. First, he recorded with his family, The New Heavenly Stars, and later on with The Sensational Revelators. In 1994, while with the Revelators, he signed his first major deal with ACE Records owned and operated by the legendary Johnny Vincent the true founder of MALACO Records. He toured throughout the USA gaining notoriety as a powerful lead singer for the group. He has respectfully toured alongside some of the gospel greats such as; Lee Williams, The Williams Brothers, Howard Slim Hunt, the Racy Brothers, etc. After blazing the underground scene for some years, celebrated producer Reginald Forte took him under his wings and developed him into a professional, polished, and profound artist. This recording started as a demo but quickly moved to a full-blown album. After some time, the CD was released July 2009 on 4ta Records, LLC. Although this project boasts of being a Quartet album, we are convinced there is a song for all to enjoy. "This project is uniquely produced to help so many people cope with circumstances that seem hopeless", says Producer Reginald Forte. Travis Jackson, Jr. is ready to render to the world a musical offering that is buzzing across the south and beyond. "Songs of Hope", of which it is thoughtfully called, is filled with 13 smashing hits and will help everyday people regain strength to survive with such songs as: • Count It All Joy • Lord, Hold My Hand • Higher and Higher • He's Just A Prayer Away Our Prayer is that God is honored and much is said and done through the ministry of song through Travis Jackson, Jr.
