All I Want for Christmas Is You
The opening song, All I want for Christmas is you' did actukally originate from out of the mouth of babes. As I weekend father I was picking my son up, then six years old just a few days before Christmas one year and asked while we were in the car on the way to my place for the weekend, 'Why are all the toys under the tree always just for me? I want Santa to bring you toys too dad!' So I answered 'All I want for Christmas is you!' which became the main theme and song title. A couple of years later driving in the car with the same set of circumstances said, 'I got you something for Chiristmas dad, but I didn't wrap it!' And I told him that, 'I didn't need any wrapping paper or bows' which are phrases in the song as well. By the time I was able to record, produce and finish the song, my son's voice got a little deeper. So instead, I used my girlfriend's kid to simulate what his voice had sounded like at the time for the introduction, using his exact words. This song was created from a real heart felt experience and the album itself is an effort to keep the true meaning and spirit of Christmas alive!
