Songs from My Heart
Tim Spady was born on January 5, 1988. By the time he was a teenager, it was clear that music, especially playing the piano, had become his passion. Tim honed his craft by pulling from a variety of sources, including his God given musical ear, studying music theory at The Haverford School under world-renowned organist Michael Stairs, a few formal lessons from the Gibson School of Music, a host of musical friends and family and tapping, and listening and studying the legendary Richard Smallwood, who is his greatest musical influence. Tim's public piano playing began when his aunt convinced him to play for their church's children's choir. Since then, Tim has composed a number of songs, has recorded with different local Philadelphia artists, has played for a variety of local artists and has played for numerous musical functions. He is currently attending Franklin & Marshall College, where he is studying Sociology, and is planning on going to graduate school for Education. He is also the Director of Voices of Praise, the gospel choir at Franklin & Marshall, a choir he re-founded. He released his first CD/Demo project, Highest Praise in August of 2007, and his newest project, Songs From My Heart, a full-length Gospel project, will be released in March 2011. This is just the beginning of Tim's music career. Look forward to hearing a lot more as God continues to pour more fresh music into this humble and talented young man.
