One Night in Seattle
1991 was a great year for Seattle and for me! I got to record with N.W. recording legend: Kearney Barton on: March 14, 1991. It is now 20 years later and I am finally releasing this Folk gem to you. This album was not recorded on just any gear, but, it was recorded on Kearney Barton's personal collection of vintage tube/mono equipment. A 1958 'Mono' Ampex 351-2 Deck, Vocals on a U-47 Telefunkin Mike (1958), Guitar on a U-67 Neumann Mike (1962) through a 1965 English Langevin tube board. All...the very best and you can hear it in the recording. This was 'Recording Without A Net!' It all went down 'Live' in studio as with this old mono gear there are no overdubs. This album was recorded exactly the way Bob Dylan recorded his first album(s). It was my goal to record all sixteen songs 'live' with Kearney on the board and I am proud to say in 1991...I did it! Working with Kearney Barton and his vintage gear was a dream come true for me. I had not been this excited since working with Norman Petty in 1983. And finally...I hope you enjoy listening to my folk album as much as I did recording it.
