Light in Your Secret
New Release!! The Light In Your Secret is newcomer Threza Schlenkrich's first album. The sound is adult contemporary/folk with a waft of Celtic . A soulful blend of Jan Arden, The Rankin Sisters, and a dash of Carole King. Threza's music is very well received in her home town of Grand Prairie, Alberta and beyond. Mitch Cedar of The Revolution Sonics (and co-writer of Lavender Sky) remarked, "Of particular note is her voice, which is very satisfying to listen to, expressive, emotional and very radio friendly". Guest guitarist Jason Cheeseman, who won 1st place in the 2009 Peace Country Idol contest out of 200 contestants, adds his arranging talent with Rainstorm Remix, Restless, Money and 16 years old. Two tracks off this album -Restless and Rainstorm- were awarded 'top ten in the May 2010 Our Stage competition.' The Light In Your Secret has received airplay on CBC radio. Threza Threza hails from Grande Prairie and has dreamed about sharing her songs with the world since childhood. With the release of this, her first album, she has made that dream a reality. "Singing was what got me thru life, from playing imaginative games as a child, to the intensity of my high school years, to love and loss and hope, and personal growth as an adult." Threza began playing piano Piano 10 years ago, when she was living in Peace River. Her goal was to be able to accompany herself and put her poems into songs with an instrument. 'Writing songs seem to be a way for me to move forward in life and relationships, answering unanswered questions, and expressing the joy of forever growing.' Threza's strength is her voice, and she connects with her listeners with her touching songs. All ages are moved by her original tunes, with lyrics on a universal understanding and emotional depth. The power in her performance reflects her determination to grow through adversity, an outstanding personality trait of Threza. She came from a background of hard work and responsibility, raising 4 children as a single Mother, giving her music more and more attention as her kids grew up. Threza's Voice Threza's voice is unique: crystal clear, powerful, and mesmerizing. Most all her songs convey a message of hope in the face of tribulations that we can all relate to. If you listen closely, you can feel her connection to the human heart, through pain, loss, hope and joy in every word. You can feel it because it is all there, in her voice and also in her heartfelt lyrics. Threza's Songs Threza is a natural song writer. "Songs started coming to me, usually in response to a difficult period in a relationship, a question that wasn't answered, or something brave I did but didn't want to do.' Threza's songs aren't so much happy as they are real. And hopeful. She sings from her own experiences, though her challenges are a reflection of the human condition. The more one listens, the more one relates. Threza's album is as much meant to be felt as it is to be heard. About The Songs Restless - Trusting who we know ourselves to be, and embracing that.
