Slow Dawn Breaks
This is Themightyways first album, which has been five years in the making. It is fifteen years since the songwriter was signed to Taste Media, the production stable that eventually produced Muse, and twelve years since that band, Hoverfly / Cassius, split after twelve years together. The intervening years have been full of interesting creative things, but the music has been long overdue resurrection. This album aims to make melodic and moody lyric-based guitar music, the kind of thing that seems so rare: proper British acoustic tunery. It's not traditional folk, or rock, or pop. Neither is it blues or jazz or country. It comes from a punk/folk sensibility via popular music forms and through mostly acoustic instruments. Anyway, if people buy it, we'll make more of it...
