Live at North Texas State University
The journey of vocalist Terri Brinegar began with a Classical foundation. She played violin from the age of 9, then later upright bass. While still in high school, she was performing with a local University Orchestra. And all along she was singing. Upon receiving a full scholarship to the school of her choice, she decided on North Texas State University, famous for it's wonderful music department. Not knowing what style of music she wanted to sing, (and not really knowing she had a choice), she started with her Classical training and development. She loved singing, and loved the expressiveness of Classical music. In 1984, Terri graduated after completing her final exam: her Senior Recital. She later attended the Juilliard School of Music in New York. This CD is a rich mixture of classic and contemporary composers, all with only voice and piano (except one with clarinet accompaniment). Terri has since moved on to other styles of music, but is still singing and composing music herself.
