One day, I said to Joan (by email), why don't we do an album together and even though she had to do all the work, I did provide some funds and a whole lot of encouragement. I think it took us 10 months emailing the while to actually finish the project. Joan posted rehearsals on Esnips, I sent some of those rehersals around to my friends as a test drive. I made this cover and put in the drawings some of the music was written for. And to think, we've never met. We leaned to trust over a fiber optic magic web around the world. Joan made all the arrangements on this album. Joan made score arrangements, arrangements for rehearsals and recording and for dinner. Joan is recently retired from the Music Conservatory Luigi Cherubini in Florence, Italy and as the Director of the Childrens Choir, Youth Choir and Young Madrigal Singers of the Music School of Fiesole. Nine of the ten singers in Tempus Floridum studied as children in the Fiesole Youth Choirs.
