Whisper of Tomorrow
Tai Cheri a graduate of the Berklee College of Music has spent her lifetime creating her unique sound. She began to play the piano at age three and at the age of five she started playing the violin. Since then Tai has added a variety of instruments to her musical skills. Now as an accomplished composer and songwriter her dream of creating a unique blend of music for the people has been finally realized. Tai Cheri began as a classically trained violinist and has matured into the musician you now hear today. Her musical journey started with youth orchestras, string ensembles and Youth Symphonys. She advanced to playing in the junior and senior high school jazz bands. Finding a love of contemporary music was only the beginning as she decided to Polish her skills at the Berklee College of Music. Tai Cheri has played with many performers such as Eguie Castrillo, Jethro Desilva, Oscar Castro Neves, Prince Lawsha, Paul Contos, Mark Woods, Burt Bacharach, and more. She has been seen at notable clubs and venues in the Boston area as well as the San Jose Jazz Festival, Santa Clara's Mission City Cafe, and the Kuumbwa Jazz Club in Santa Cruz, California. She looks forward to joining more artists on the stage and radio as she brings her own music to the fore in her debut album Whisper of Tomorrow.
