When in the year 2005 the Swiss Indian Orchestra released their debut album, it won the acknowledgement in the swiss press, euphoric rewiews on various plattforms in the WorldWideWeb and even a very benevolent and detailed portrait in one of India's leading music magazines. Since then the Swiss Indian Orchestra took the audience on inspiring trips through a unique soundscape between orient and occident and arose enthusiasm at countless concerts. Besides intense touring the three swiss musicians Marius Peyer (Tabla), Roman Glaser (Flute) and Eric Hunziker (Guitar/ Sitar-Guitar), und concentrated on composing a new repertoire. The virtuoso pieces now are enriched by a new element, which is a steady component of the band: the expressive voice of the singer Sarah Büchi. The new CD 'Go East' is showing this cooperation in a refreshing manner. Immediately one can experience the joy of playing, which comes to express itself in the driving grooves and in the contemplating moments. Western and eastern music tradition, with all it's catchy improvisations and musical meditations face and melt into unique, new music.
