This Is Who I Am
What do you get when you mix a little bit of traditional country, Texas swing, blues and a little bit of fashioned old rock and roll...A red headed spitfire named Susan Rose. This youthful veteran singer/songwriter/performer has a very impressive performance background. It all started at the tender age of 14 at the Cheyenne Saloon in Orlando. A debut performance and a new love affair with country music had begun. Susan's credits have taken her around the world, from performing in bands to singing in production shows in places such as Dollywood, Discovery Cruise Lines, and with country music legends Randy Parton and Lee Greenwood. Susan is not just a singer. She IS an entertainer, truly making people feel what she sings. She has a way of really connecting with her audience, making them feel the story she is telling...... Originally from Orlando, FL, Susan moved to TN to pursue her musical dreams in the early 90's.During this time period, she also acquired radio play around the world and even had a single in the Top 100 Cashbox charts. As a writer, her style lies in a more traditional country flavor. Her unique true country sound combined with this legendary style gives her music a distinct sound far from the pop country of today. Her career has taken her around the world and several entertainment career paths. After many years of performing, Susan moved to the production side and became quite a successful concert lighting designer and programmer, touring with artists such as Louise Mandrell, Ringo Starr, John Berry, Hank Willliams Jr, and many others, as well as working on numerous television shows, theme parks and concerts. Though she has a passion for lighting, the music is still in her blood and will never die out. Her dream is to take her experiences from the past 20 years and express them to you in her music. We hope you enjoy! Please enjoy her latet release 'This Is Who I Am'..In this world, we grow up having big dreams of what we want to be, of who we want to be..but sometimes life takes us in a different direction. We think we want to be 'this', but we turn out being 'that'..But you know what? 'That' is really ok! 'That' really isn't so bad. I used to dream of being a big country music star, but I ended up becoming a lighting designer..I used to dream of being married with the 2.5 kids and a white picket fence, but I have cats..I may not be 20 years old anymore...But you know what? 'That' is ok! Life turned out exactly how I had not planned, yet if I had it all to do over again, I would not change a thing! I LOVE my life! It really is OK on how it turned out. . I am proud of who I am. And you should be too. Be proud of who you are, of what you have become. Because it really is amazing. You are amazing. Life is amazing. And it really is something to be proud of. Embrace your life as I have mine. This is exactly what inspired this song, 'This Is Who I Am' .I mean every word from my heart. And I hope when you hear it, you will feel what I am feeling, and it will touch your life and mkae you want to shout 'This Is Who I Am'
