Star Fk Radium, an instrumental trio of violin, acoustic guitar and drums, invokes imagery of an expansive aural landscape where things are simple, beautiful and perhaps bleak. Abandoning regular chord structure and functional harmony, the guitar offers an arpeggio of hypnotic and ethereal notes, set as a pedal tone. This juxtaposes with the drums, often set in an alternate timing, to create the effect that the parts are floating independently of each other. Meanwhile the violin connects, resonating with some feeling that exists inside of you, pulling it to the surface. Produced by internationally-acclaimed Jason Rubal (Dresden Dolls), Star Fk Radium's new full-length album Blue Siberia is delicately articulated, a full-color rendering of the band's singular vision. It provides a window into worlds undiscovered, yet so emotionally personal a wave of deja vu is stirred in you, a yearning for some sacred world you'd thought long since passed. Star Fk Radium is quickly gaining an international following, having toured through eleven U.S. states in 2009. The band will embark on a west coast tour in the spring of 2010 in promotion of Blue Siberia. 'In these days of soulless electronic pop, it's great to hear music that is simple and unpretentious, yet unique, melodic and wonderfully innovative. Star Fk Radium are as intriguing as their name.' - Mark Juddery, The Sydney Morning Herald 'I think your songs would make a great soundtrack music. I think you sound like a very avant-garde though not exacerbately complicated essence featuring an intimate touch and a pervasively enjoyable bouquet ...' - Paolo, Switzerland.
