I'm Going Up to Glory
The Spiritual Revelators began as a 9th grade school quartet in 1957 at Barrets Chapel High School in Arlington Tennessee. After graduating from high school, we all went to Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN together. The original group, known as the Spiritual Harmonizers, consisted of William Broome, Larry Tolbert, Leon Wilson, George Branch and Emmitt Hayes. After traveling and singing for a few years, William Broome decided to leave the group. After George Branch and Emmitt Hayes served in the armed forces, we resumed with the four remaining voices. In 1989, Leon Wilson passed away and went home to be with the Lord. At this time we were joined by Bobby Crawford and Lonnie Hayes. The group was now complete again and went back to their singing engagements as the Spiritual Revelators. Like many groups we have had our ups and down. Through war, sickness, death and distance, God has brought us all the way. We are pleased and happy today that after 52 years God has blessed us to record our first CD. It is our prayer that these selections will be a blessing to each and every one that hears them. We dedicate this labor of love to our dear departed member Brother Leon Wilson. "Praise God!"
