In 1969, while living in Virginia, I began writing and singing. I then moved to my current home in Los Angeles, and began recording demos in local Southern California studios. I developed partnerships, and collaborated on several dance singles that were mildly successful, although not my genre of choice. In the 80's, I focused less on collaborations, and more on my work as a solo artist. The concept behind the band name 'Sparks at Four' refers to the inspiration for writing songs that comes in the early morning hours, usually around 4 a.m. I came up with the concept for the 'Sparks at Four' project in 1999. This project involves a 28 song, double CD entitled '28 Sparks'. The recording of the album began in 2004, and is being released in several stages. Beginning with 'A Taste of 28', a five song EP (2004), '9 From 28' (2008), and '11 From 28' which was released in 2010. Four productions are scheduled for release in 2011. The CD '28 Sparks' should be completed by the middle of 2012.
