Heads We Wintails You Lose
Sonic Rebellion is a New York City based hard-rock band with a simple plan - bring powerful, fist-pumping music back to the rock scene with passion, power, and hooks. Influenced by Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, AC/DC and classic Aerosmith, their self-titled debut album is a stomping, adrenaline rush driven by soaring vocals and screaming guitars, anchored by thundering bass and explosive drums. Sonic Rebellion was formed in New York City by vocalist Andy Smith and guitarist Lefty in 2007. After several attempts at crafting the right rhythm section, the band's lineup was cemented in 2009 with the addition of Dustin Smith on bass and Sean Pokress on drums. In their brief time together, the band has rocked several of New York's famous clubs including The Bitter End, Arlene's Grocery, Crash Mansion and Don Hill's. Recently, the band played for tens of thousands at the New York Marathon and opened up for Ozzy Osbourne and Black Label Society guitarist, Zakk Wylde, at the prestigious Iridium Jazz Club in Manhattan. The band's debut album brings an old school, gritty rock and roll swagger back to the hard rock scene. With all the music written by the band members, the 12 diverse tracks draw in the listener with memorable riffs and lyrics that range from the sleazily poetic on Stripped Down, to the surprisingly heartfelt on Find My Way. Revved up tracks like Song About Revenge and Make it to Midnite dare the listener to drive below the speed limit, while Mad as Hell and No End in Sight touch on the current political climate, harnessing the rage of those coming of age in a time of war and economic uncertainty.
