Smogbotten is the musical work of the poet and writer Dagan Rose-Stockwell. The name 'Smogbotten' was chosen in part because of it's unique nature - not existing in any language, it had no online reference previous to 9/20/2010 (per Google). Released in September 2010, Smogbotten's first album, 8, is an instrumental work mixing classical, metal, and electronic themes. The eight tracks match an included 8 line poem in the liner notes of the work, which each line of the poem corresponding to a particular title on the album. The poem reads as follows: Chasing the bumblebee I found Aphrodite trampled and set her alight She sent me tumbling through the clouds Desperation dancing through the fear of years to come Tangled in a maze of twisted promises Hearts lost in the swirling storm Autumn winds whittling brittle love into snowflakes Singing split infinity The work was composed, recorded, and produced independently in Santa Rosa, CA during the summer of 2010.
