Centred around 'Ali', a (fictional) passionate but misguided young man. Ali gets arrested for his part in a foiled terrorist attack in the UK. As the details unfold, this album explores the opinions/feelings/thoughts of all those around him. Friends, neighbours, family, and the media. Tv shows, news, music. Lots of musical styles are involved, but this record really is a study of a young man driven to extreme behaviour. Sometimes funny, sometimes naive, sometimes wrong + shallow, sometimes bang on the money. Ali comes from the same place as me, he IS me, if he really existed, I'd probably be his mate. That's the scary thing. How did we all get here? How can this young man, be my neighbour? Blame all over. Bangin'. I tried real hard to do this with less than 27 tracks, I couldn't do it. So here it is. 'Peace Flashback' is sometimes smart, child'ish, immature, funny, offensive (I guess?) right, wrong, kind, cruel. I've tried real hard to get as many views/opinions across as I can. Anyway, here it is...... I'm from the UK, I have a wee home studio, and I love to play guitar. This is a change of direction for me. All centred around Ali, a passionate, angry, confused young man. He gets arrested, for his part in planning an attack on the London Underground. This takes in the affect this has on his family, friends, neighbours, one of his teachers from school, and the media. TV shows, news, the good and the bad. Conflicting reports + opinions. People like Ali are not born, they're made. How could this happen? This affects us all. Time to big up the love. Inspired (if that's the right phrase...?) by recent events, particularly fellow countrymen, opting for extreme expression. Violence is not a long term solution, it's not even a very good immediate solution. The violence must stop. We are all capable of much, much more. Our world is changing all around us, very quickly. Let's embrace it, and adapt. Evolve, adapt. Nothing stays the same, it's ok to change. Violence, murder, repressing childrens education, it's a backward step (leap) and it's cruel. The world's changed so much, in the last 10 years. The world's not a great place since the horrific events of 9/11, 2001 in New York. How could this happen? The people behind it, how can they believe this is the way to go? A spiral of violence, it's got a big gravitational pull. Let's change, evolve..... Sounds Like: A two hour vomit session, after watching the news. Yet another young man being caught while planning to kill himself and those around him, on British public transport. A lot of reality tv shows ain't helping either, disgusting shows. Over indulged morons, getting what they want, while those around them suffer. Media, spreads the word. What are we spreading? Exactly? Rubbish, time to move on. Give talented/intelligent/brave people a chance to be heard. Yeah, sounds like vomit. Time to big up the love......... Record Label: Babyface Studios.
