Fall Back Into Love
Fall Back Into Love, Shauna's debut album, is the result of a year-long collaboration with two award-winning artists in their own right...director Lina Koutrakos and songwriter/producer Rick Jensen. A departure from the power-house rock and r&b vocals she is best known for, this collection of love songs, old and new, exposes the inner soul of Shauna's vocal range. That big rock voice, however, cannot be completely contained... and so it pokes through now and then...but here it's all about the jazzy vibe created by arranger Rick Jensen at the piano, Steve Bargonetti on guitar, Dan Gross on drums, and featuring Clarice Mazanec on cello. Shauna began her singing career belting out blues, r&b and rock tunes with several local cover bands, appearing in such St. Louis area hot spots as The Kranzberg Arts Center, Jazz At The Bistro, the original Mississippi Nights, Schafly Tap Room, Cheshire Inn Fox & Hound, RT Weilers, & Off Broadway. In 2004, Shauna partnered with pianist/arranger Lisa Tuttle as the popular duo, "Blush', whose arrangements seamlessly blended the Great American Songbook, pop, rock and even classical influences. In October 2010 they received critical acclaim for their sell-out cabaret show, "At First Blush' directed by Tim Schall. Since joining the St. Louis Cabaret Scene in 2009, she has shared the stage with award winning pianists/composers Carol Schmidt, Neal Richardson, Al Fisher, Rick Jensen, and Alex Rybec. Shauna lives in suburban St. Louis with her husband Clyde and two spoiled-rotten cats, Maui and Cabo. In addition to working as a full-time musician, she is a Music Care Program Volunteer with Pathways Community Hospice, providing comfort for patients and their famlies through music. 'Shauna Sconce has the 'wow' factor that will grab your attention from the first note to the last. She not only graces the stage with her style, charm, and beauty --- Shauna has a powerhouse voice that compares to none other on the cabaret scene today! ' - Robert Breig, Producer, Mariposa Artists, St. Louis 'Shauna's voice is the aural equivalent of warm molasses and comes directly from her soul.' - Alex Rybeck, Composer/Pianist/Arranger, two-time MAC Awards Winner, New York City.
