ShariLynn Pitifer-Minetti is a singer-songwriter based in Northern NJ. Born and raised in Geneva, NY she grew up in a musical family doing musical theater and variety shows whenever the opportunity presented itself. After graduating from Ithaca College with a degree in theater she moved to New York City where she began writing and collaborating with other artists/musicians. As she continued to audition for musical theater she began performing regularly in NYC cabaret clubs such as The Duplex and Don't Tell Mamma among others, gradually working her original music into her cabaret act. This lead to an independent film originally entitled 11:11 (after Shari's debut CD by the same name) in which all of the characters played themselves telling a story of three artists' bumpy and converging roads to success. Producer David Foster agreed to appear in the film and Shari and the crew spent a day with him shooting in his home studio in Malibu, California and getting invaluable guidance and encouragement. The film was later renamed Breakthrough and was produced by Steven Posen for Hudson/Malibu Films. Prior to recording her own CD's, she would write and sing with her brother Mark's band AGC (All God's Children). Their album, "Heaventown" was her first professional recording. After that she teamed up with pianist and producer Rino Minetti for 11:11. Together they later wrote "America Rising", a tribute to the victims of 9/11 in 2001. The Present is their latest collaboration and their first Christmas album. All but one are original songs written by the two of them. They are currently completing their next CD entitled "No Destination" due out this spring which veer's away from Shari's signature mellow, adult-contemporary sound and dabbles in R&B and dance music. Shari currently teaches music full time and the two perform regularly in the NY/NJ area with their band, Panorama Music.
