Metal for the Masses
SEVENTH GATE formed in the spring of 1992 and featured founding members Mike Morgan on lead guitar/lead vocals and Herb Broussard on drums. Precise, deathly, technical thrash. Herb left the band in 1999 to join Louisiana's Dogmata, and was replaced by Cauldron's Joel Scarborough. Joined by Kevin Moseley who had recently departed Krullur on bass/guitar, this lineup played out in 2001 and later changed their name to HELL CHURCH, putting out a demo CD called Told To Believe; after lineup changes H.C. put out the demo CD Armadillogeddon, and played the Milwaukee Metalfest in 2004. Hell Church disbanded July 2005, and the members have all gone to different bands. The Metal For The Masses album remains a record of Seventh Gate's impact on the Houston underground metal scene.
