Album Review: 'I must say I was absolutely caught up and seduced by the amazing quality of this Brazilian southern quintet, and do not know any other band in terms of sound that resembles them in our country (Brazil). Working entirely independently, the result obtained by Seven Side Diamond is highly satisfactory, both in production issue, as in art and graphic details that surrounds a band, and the level of excellence achieved in all this is much higher than that of many bands that have a much bigger budget and a major label behind. Impossible not to congratulate them for that. Professionalism and care that will lead inevitably to achieve their goals. The relationship and spirit of the band as a whole is certainly visible and admirable. Diego Americo is a natural singer, playing with race, energy and skill, giving himself completely to what he does. John Fadel exudes class and good taste in guitars, ranging from impeccable tones and riffs, the Drum/Bass works millimeter and amazing, while Andre Fadel chancel is the point where the band's compositions are the perfect finish. And speaking of their compositions, 'Pleasures and Treasures' is one of those songs where perfect sounds an inadequate adjective, there are no words to explain the completeness of harmonies, grooves and variations. It is without doubt the best album. Jazzy accents stand out in 'Eye' - the second part of the suite 'Transition' - perfect mix of aggression contained and progressive with conscience. The originality and creativity that have cropped rising from the structure completely unpredictable of 'On The Road' and dark arrangements of'Castle Of Illusion,' noting to the soundtrack of the Castlevania game series. If there is anything negative on the album stand out is it's short duration, wonderful 33 minutes that leaves us hungry for more music of this quality. And I thought the style was dead. Transition is a must for lovers of progressive rock. Despite the metal side, I'd rather have them like this: rock, progressive, honest, passionate, technical and innovative. My sincere obeisance to Seven Side Diamond ' whiplash.net Band's Biography: Seven Side Diamond had it's inception in late 1990, aiming to provide music lovers a new musical experience through rock'n'roll. All time the project was in the direction of sound based on the musical influences of each musician, since the universe that encompasses progressive rock of the 70's and heavy metal of the 90's, and the broad reach of classical music, that is part of the instrumentalists musical tuition With the formation of a band of five musicians, Seven Side Diamond consolidated it's proposal in 2002 with the release of four tracks on their first CD titled as the band's name.
