Twelve-year-old David Freeman (Joey Cramer) mysteriously vanishes in 1978 and reappears eight years later... The same age as when he left. Around the time of his return, an alien spacecraft crashes nearby and is taken to a NASA facility for study. Drawn to the ship, David learns that his brain has been filled with amazing new information, including valuable star charts that robotic space traveler Max (voiced by Paul Reubens) needs to get home.
