New Sky New Day
Sarah Bonsignore... was born in Durban, South Africa and began playing the piano at the age of four. She is a superbly skilled concert pianist and soprano, and a prolific singer-songwriter. She has won many classical piano competitions and has performed as both a singer and pianist with orchestras in South Africa. Sarah received a Bachelors Degree in piano performance, minoring in voice and composition in Kwa-Zulu Natal, before moving to the United States. She received a Masters Degree in Voice at Mannes College in New York City. She has been on the faculty of the Hackley School and Diller Quaile, and is currently choral director of three choirs and an a capella group, and teacher of music theory at the Trinity School on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Sarah lives in the Hudson Valley, NY, with her husband and three young boys. Sarah's first CD 'New Sky, New Day' was produced by Scott Petito of NRS and includes the work of legendary drummer Jerry Marotta of Woodstock, New York, and lead guitarist Mark Schulman of New York City. Sarah has performed at the Carriage Barn, CT, Le Bar Bat, The Bitter End in New York City, The Colony in Woodstock, New York.
