Salsa It Compilation 6 / Various
Produced by ALOSIBLA Edizioni Musicali, once again it offers Latin American music lovers an exciting collection of pieces interpreted by artists well-known on the Italian music scene and not only. Salsa.it Compilation is an important event that gives well-deserved scope to the multi-ethnic, crossover creativity that is a feature of our country. As in every edition, together with numerous established favourites, we meet new guests who add a wealth of variety and sounds to the pieces recorded. First of all, the group Voz a Voz, performing "Cuando En El silenzio", a lively, harmonious bachata produced by Blue Sound Estudios feat. Gino DJ, whose single released by Alosibla in the spring was an extraordinary success in the USA. "Regalao" is a Cuban protest salsa by undisputed hit writers Ivan Bridon and Raul Victores, and here performed by Hernandez Brothers. Replica Blue Sound Estudios with El Sheke ft. El Gringo de la Bachata powered by Pepe Bassan with "Buscala", a typical Dominican bachata. Another new guest on this edition is the Combo Marianao orchestra offering an "atmospheric" romantic salsa entitled "Buscandote". The last new name is the Talento Havana group which with vocals by Moises & Patric offers us "Tocame", a salsa with a wealth of influences and contamination. After a period of absence, two welcome returns enhance this year's repertoire. A guest on the first edition of the Compilation, El Rubio Loco appears here with "Valiò la Pena", a delicate bachata in collaboration with Fasolmusic.coop, followed by Helito George with "Pa' Fuera", a driving Cuban salsa that's sure to be a hit. Opening track on the Compilation is "Sax Rhapsody" powered by Francisco Rojos from Latin Soul Orchestra, a refined salsa that recalls the famous Big Bands of the past. Always-welcome guest Alejandro Martinez (leader of Mezcla Latina) makes his solo debut with "Buscando La Clave" a highly original piece with a recognizable style. Present once again is EuroCuban Project with "Torna", a bachata with a warm sound and suffused atmosphere, made in collaboration with Gate One. Composer and song writer Massimo Scalici gives us "Renacer", a stupendous salsa based on lyrics by Francisco Rojos. Croma Latina is back in collaboration with Fito Gress with "El Aire Que Respiro" a beautifully duetted salsa with an elegant, refined sound; support by Italia In Musica and Latinos Unidos was fundamental. The ever-present Tony Velardi offers us two very particular pieces: "Sueltala", which came out of the Calle 39 musical project, a lively, effervescent salsa with an unmistakable style, followed by "Nena" by JT Latin Factory, an atmospheric bachata that includes a lot of experimentation, thanks to the participation of DJ Fabrizio Zoro and Fernando Sosa. An unusual bachata from Fito Gress who offers us "Un Dia", a definitely original piece just lightly contaminated by rock. On the occasion of his sixth appearance on Salsa.it, Oliver Urdaneta presents "Si Estuvieras", a track from his latest album and a work of undisputed quality, masterfully put to music by conductor Alessandro Bertozzi and produced by Bertostudio. Making a repeat appearance is the group Caiman, with "Tan Bella", a romantic salsa with sweet sounds but a dynamic rhythm, published in collaboration with Galletti Boston. Also appearing is Sefket Selimov, better known as Dj MyJKool, with vocal support from Romy y Nesh on "Tell Me Why", a salsaton made sweet and sparkling at the same time thanks to artistic collaboration from Gianni Nuzzi and discographic support by Galletti Boston. Finally, we find Movida feat. Felix with the piece "Sin Novias" produced by Bit Records, a Dominican bachata contaminated with more than a touch of "Italian sound", typical of Marco Feretti's style. As every year, special thanks go to Ilario Calì, Moreno Bernardinello and Francisco Rojos, founders and supporters of Salsa.it Compilation, an unmissable event in the Latin American autumn.
