Sal-T is a band devoted to spreading the word of Jesus Christ through music. We are not only a band, but a ministry. God called us two years ago to do the impossible for 3 regular teens that didn't know anything about music. He asked us to make 2 cds (one in English and one in Spanish)by faith. So, we did just that. As brother and sisters, we accomplished that what was asked. The youngest one, Kathy Rodriguez (now 14), wrote the songs, played keyboards and did some vocals, Karla Rodriguez (20), plays bass and does vocals, and Gerse Rodriguez (21) played drums. It was then, that after making two cds, were we to go and minister with those songs given to us. Everything accomplished up to this point was all God's glory revealing itself through us. But that was two years ago. Now, we have released our 4th album titled 'SPEAK'. We have all matured, gained understanding, and know what we're doing. Jesus has mulitiplied what he gave us to start with. And one of the most important happenings since then is our 4th member joined up with us for our 3rd recording. Alex Sparkman (21)plays electric guitar for Sal-T. We;ve added percussions, stronger lyrics, and music that cannot be compared to many other bands. Speak is the long story of one who knows about Christ yet scared to accept him, thinking that his past is not forgivable. He starts to find someone turning him rebellious and tearing down his self-confidence. His life has slowly been deteriorating going from bad to worse. When he finally tries to change his life and turn from his old ways to the ways of Christ, he finds himself released from the heavy burden both in his heart and on his mind. Now he faces the challenges of sticking with what he knows is right even if those who know the truth too don't support him and only bring him down. He fights with his own mind over the parts of him that seems useless, knowing it's only a trick. HE finds out how much Christ really had to love us and His father to sacrifice himself for people that hate him and would kill him if they had the chance. Then, that's when he finally finds peace where he is alone with Christ; with no one, nothing, and no memories to bother him, kill him, and hurt him. Where all he can think about is how his heart is dying to speak with Christ and no one else. Then, he hears him reply, 'So Speak.'
