Saidah Straight from the I.E.
The one who greets with fire is what's said about Saidah when she fires off her sultry sexy voice across the Inland Empire. With R&B/Pop underground success, Saidah's ballads and up beat club bangers have engulfed the Inland Empire by way of television, radio and local print. Representing the Inland Empire, Miss Story has been the opening act for Ciara and performing on the syndicated Tom Joyner T.V. Show, the Temecula Morning show and the Inland Empire Live show. The Inland Empire has raised a sultry and sexy bonified singer with the release of her freshman album 'Saidah Straight From The I.E.' Saidah made history when she won the Crown as the first African-American Miss Inland Empire, singing the Italian Scarlatti Aria 'O Cesat Di Piagaimi'. At the tender age of 17, Saidah's win qualified her to compete in the State wide Miss California Pageant, a step toward the Miss America Pageant. Saidah's performance as the youngest contestant at the 2003 Miss California Scholarship Pageant, blew the crowd away with her electrifying performance of the Cole Porter/Dorothy Dandridge rendition of 'You Do Something To Me'. Miss Story has been covered in the Redlands Daily facts newspaper, The San Bernardino Sun, The Press Enterprise, The Westside Story News, The Pricinct Reporter, The Black Voice and the Hobachi Newspaper. Local support has been consistent for Saidah, with the I.E.'s own radio station WILD 96 taking this native daughter of the I.E. under their wings inviting her to perform at their I.E. High School tour and as a guest on a number of their programs even before she released her album. Saidah's summer release CD is guaranteed to bring the Inland Empire's own bonified singer the long awaited recognition the I.E. has been waiting for.
