Sabor Campesino has been hanging out in the Massachusetts area for a while performing in public and privates activities. The band style is a mix of the "jíbaro" music from Puerto Rico and infusions from the music of Cuba (Son and Guaguancó) and Dominican Republic (Merengue). It features a full percussion section including timbales, congas and bongó which are basic elements of the salsa music. The folkloric instruments from Dominican Republic, the "guira" and the "tambora", were added for the merengues tracks. The combination of these instruments and rhythms is a delightful music, ideal for your parties or any occasion. Just check out some of the sound clips and you will know what we are talking about !
