Dear friends, After spending a few years hiding away in the studio, we are proud to finally release the 'Browse' album in it's finished, mastered form. Some of you will know the songs but for others, it will be your first time. In, 'Browse [Masters]', we found our sound by allowing ourselves time to let go and experiment, not only from the songwriting, but in the production of the record. With 'Browse', I wanted to pay homage to the music we, as a band, loved as kids, from 80's arena rock to blues to more pensive 90's acoustic rock. Most importantly, we wanted to carve out our identity and make something that sounded like Runon Fragment and no one else. It's pretty wild to think of how many times we built the record up, only to break it down, and rebuild again. In many ways, it's pretty much like the rest of life. Sometimes you go along one direction, and while you're busy and focused running that direction, you realize, oh crap, wrong way. And you now have to turn back around to get right back where you started. You think you wasted all that time, but coming back to square one, you find you've gained a wisdom and experience that is priceless. Now, you can move along with a proper compass. The stories in the lyrics come from these journeys. This record is about life/freedom/happiness, but also the flip side: heartache and sadness. Inevitable obstacles and changes are the stories of our lives: falling in love ('Queen of My World'), falling out of love ('I Used To Love It') overcoming addictions ('Palette of Grey') and overcoming the many challenges life places upon you ('The Fight'). I hope you relate to these stories, and enjoy a record that we are proud to share with you. God bless, Mark.
