From a Dark Place
A buzz is making it's way from the smoky lounges of the Las Vegas night life. Ruchelle has them talking. With just her looks, major labels could manufacture a pop star. But make no mistake, she is the real deal. Soulfully poignant, yet powerfully captivating in the same breath, Ruchelle's voice is that rare combination of tone, pitch, and emotion that define the greats. In spite of her pop sensibilities, after seeing or hearing her perform, the pretty packaging yields to substance and soul when you descibe what you have just experienced. Since her teens in Los Angeles, Rucehlle has been lending her voice in support of a variety of projects. From European chart topping dance tracks, national t.v. exposure singing background for various artists, to guest perfomances in some of jazz and rocks most legendary venues, her voice has defined her and brought her recognition from fellow performers and fans. Largely self taught, she briefly studied under Lis Lewis, celebrity vocal coach of Gwen Stephani, Brittany Spears, Bobby McFerrin among others, who described Ruchelle as having 'a truly rare talent and power in her voice.' Her album 'From A Dark Place' finds Ruchelle collaborating with Songwriter Steve Prohoroff and Las Vegas's own Sarah Theile, to offer a peircing look into that normally hidden place of vulnerabilities, sorrows and hopes. Supported by some of Vegas's best session players and found worthy to be mixed by Elliot Peters, known for his work with Gladys Knight, Faith Evans, Anita Baker, Boz 2 Men and many more. This compilation of tracks offers something for everyone and gives a glimpse into the yet to be fully realized potential of Ruchelle as a singer, songwriter and performer.
