Truckin' On is the long-awaited follow-up to Royce Mitchell's first solo recording, Roll On. This CD offers a variety of styles to the listener. Royce pays tribute to two of his bass heroes, George Younce (on the moving ballad 'I Thirst') and Brock Speer (on a foot-stomping rendition of the Speer Family classic 'City Comin' Down'). The project also features the vocal talents of Royce's son Jeremiah and his daughter Julianne. The rest of the guys in Liberty Quartet back him up on several songs throughout the recording, including a new track and recording of 'Won't That Be Heaven'. Once you hear this album you will understand why Royce is widely considered one of the premiere bass vocalists in Gospel music.
