From Me to You
Who I Am She was born Rosalind Irene Dandridge in Hollis, Queens, New York on a hot Summer July 11, 1968. Rosalind grew up in a Christian family singing in the church choir at the tender age of 11. She performed in church plays, school plays and of course sang in the mirror. The youngest out of seven children, Rosalind's musical roots go back to her Great-Grandparents. Her Grandparents, and parents all played piano and/or guitar and sang. At the young age of 14 Rosalind started writing poems and songs. She won numerous awards in poem writing and song writing contests. Her greatest musical influence comes from Aretha Franklin, Mahalya Jackson, Tramaine Hawkins, The Clark Sisters, Earth Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder, the Emotions and all of the old school hip-hop nation. Her writing and singing talents grew from the musical and family influence surrounding her. To date she has over 650 songs and her first album titled "From Me To You" reflects her life and love for music.
