Layers of a Lifetime
These two long time friends (Tom Downs and Tim Cooper) have been reunited in the last few years. Their paths had gone in different directions until the love of country music and the excitement of creating songs brought them into the recording studio. Together they compliment each other wih their diverse backgrounds and talents. This first album is an excellent example of this sucessful pairing. This album contains twelve Contemporary Country songs written about our life's experiences, love found, (Summer of 63), love lost, (Northwest to Nowhere), memories both good (This Old Guitar and Me) (If This Old Table Could Talk) and bad (Cold Cold Rain) and even a song about a family member (The Weathered Ranch Hand). Each song is an untold story. Rooster McCall is a Texican that, to this day, lives in the Dust, Dirt, Sky & Vast rich human resources we call lonesome Dove Country. It is in this position that the work as a studio vocalist with fresh, new C & W songs written by Tim Cooper and Tom Downs is most satisfying. The Layers Of A Lifetime music is very danceable and is made to drag a boot heel through sawdust on a hardwood floor and the stories may bring a tear to your eye. Rooster McCall Triangle S Land & Cattle Company Tim Cooper was born in Corpus Christi, Texas and from age 5, raised in Dallas.
