La Luna Lounge 3:22 From the CD 'La Luna Lounge' by Moodafaruka Performed by Rom Ryan This is a live performance. Using a delay I created the rhythm on my guitar in real time, and then played the melody on top of that. Venusion Blinds 5:46 All instruments performed by Rom Ryan A previously unreleased track, with a little taste of electric guitar. Spinning Paridise 3:03 All instruments performed by Rom Ryan Another version of this can be found on 'La Luna Lounge' by Moodafaruka, but this was the original idea once again using looping to create the rhythm. Potions and Charms 5:02 From the CD La Luna Lounge by Moodafaruka An interesting thing about this recording is that the vocal tracks by Elizabeth Riley were not recorded with the intent of them being played together. They were two separate efforts, intended to be vocal solos. To my surprise they sounded great together. Same goes for Terrence Karn's tabla tracks. Mercury Chill'n 2:50 Performed by Rom Ryan This is a previously unreleased track that has an interesting tension between a very lyrical guitar part played against a very rhythmic loop. Axis Mundi 3:24 From the CD 'Resurrection' Rom Ryan Keyboards, Programing Hans Christen Reumschuessel Cello One of the most interesting things I did on this cut was to put a distortion devise on Hans Christians Cello to make it sound like a screaming guitar. Psychedelic Texas 3:47 From the CD 'La Luna Lounge' by Moodafaruka Performed by Rom Ryan A guitar part played against a loop composed entirely of little guitar parts. This cut was actually used on Vh1s The Fabulous Life of Country Superstars. Who would have guessed? Dancing to Oblivion 4:57 Performed by Rom Ryan Nuff said Word of Warning 6:01 From the CD Another World Rom Ryan Guitar, Vocal Nicholas Walker Acoustic Bass, Sax David Rice Piano Chris Rose Drums This song has a message that I was writing to myself at the time, see if it resonates with you. Floating Garden 7:06 From the CD Another World Rom Ryan Guitar, Flute, Bob Chadwick Shakuhachi Flute Jake Jacobs Bass Javier Zenteno Drums Terrence karn Tabla Kapecka Chimes This was all an improvisation between myself and some really fine musicians. We were lucky to have caught it on tape. Every Moment's a Prayer 3:42 From the CD 'Resurrection' This has a mix of a live string section with electronic strings that make a beautiful texture. It's a very simple piece with a flute lead, but I think it has a warmth to it that can grab you if it catches you at the right time.
